Sometime in November of 2023, I accidentally found my favorite medium.
After a failed attempt at making a large resin figurine, I offhandedly decided to make a mold of a few of my favorite "Gogo's Crazy Bones" with the leftover silicone. It clicked immediately, this was my thing!

Ever since then I wanted to see how far I could go with perfecting my craft. As of writing, I can say confidently that I have reached an almost mechanical-level of perfection without the use of industrial equipment. Someday in the future I would love nothing more then to invest in the tools that would make these figures perfect. Alas, for the time being, I don't have the money or space for pressure pots and vacuum chambers.

First, I would build custom, reusable houses out of tightly-fitted Lego bricks with a layer of tape around them so they would have no chance of leaking. Then, a piece of painters tape would be applied to the bottom of the housing to keep the figure in place while the silicone set. Shortly thereafter I would mix the two-part silicone and pour it into the housing.
After waiting for them to set, I carefully removed the figure by making precise, intentional cuts. Once the master figure was out, the mold was ready to be casted!
Once I got used to this process, I got much more comfortable experimenting with ways I could make these guys bubble-free. I've had a lot of fun adding in crazy glitter and charms to make new colors as well!
