Why "KABUUTLE?"
The name "Kabuutle" derives from the word "caboodle," and the Japanese word for beetle: "kabuto."

EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT
In beetle society, if you want to be on a branch but someone's already there first, you would initiate a duel.
The moment you interlock horns with your opponent, the battle commences. Whoever stays on the branch wins - whoever loses gets flung off.

Primary play features
With the assistance of magnetic flexible sheets imbedded into the ABS plastic of the playsets, you can attach beetles and other little addons to any part of the tree! Having so many options for play allows you to tell any story you want to at any time!
There's someone else on your log! Quick!! Interlock horns by pressing the button on your beetle's back. Release, and watch your opponent go flying!
THE PLAYSETS
The "Grand Tree" playset is the start of your home forest.
Coming with a total of 10 pieces and two extra beetles, this giant pop-up set can be set up within only a few minutes.
This system is cleverly designed to be completely modular. Every part of the tree can be collapsed down to perfectly fit within one another with tracks and slots, so there's little stress about finding a place to store such a big toy. Included is a plastic case to fit the fully collapsed tree in.

With the purchasing of additional parts, you can have your own personal grove in the comfort of your room.
Some examples of packs or sets include:
"Decor" packs of different branches, leaves, and smaller organic decorations to attach to a tree.
"Foliage," Smaller logs or bushes that extend and contract, in case you can't have a full-sized tree.
"Action" packs of three beetles, one visible and two mystery. Designed to be housed on racks.
Giving people the option to buy smaller versions of such a big and involved playset opens the world of Kabuutle to individuals who don't have space/cannot afford the Grand Tree or similar sets.

Collecting and filling your encyclopedia
Similar to other toys, Kabuutle also has a collection aspect.
Each action pack includes three out of 60 main beetles that you can obtain through packs. Sometimes a special exclusive model would be included in a playset. Otherwise, each model of beetle has two different colorways (30 unique figures.)
This leaves lots of opportunity to add in special finishes. I am personally avoidant of limited editions as a collector myself (it can be frustrating,) but I am not completely against the idea.
Additionally, a sticker and card is included for each beetle.
The front of the card is the figurine and information about them. On the back is a little information about the real species the character is based on. This gives an opportunity for one to collect these extra pieces, and add them to an "encyclopedia" - a sticker book with information about the species of each beetle (expanded more than the back of the cards.)
